The History of Unreality

It seems I have been roped in to tell the world a little about thehistory of the fine institute everyone has come to know as clan Unreality, or-<U>- for short. Although, it takes longer to write -<U>- than it does to write Unreality strangely enough - but that's an aside.

I'm reliably informed that we officially came into existence on one fine day in early 2003 - hereby known as February 4th. It all happened after a little discussion a group of us had on IRC one very late night - predominantly members of Memento Mori and Supernatural Rats, talking about all that was bad in the world, and some of the stuff we could do to right the wrongs of our ancestors. The best idea we had was to start our own little clan. Not elitist, not the best players in the world, not a clan made out of a bunch of well known uber UT heads, and not a whoring mess of a thing (although its true in the early days, a bunch of us were still in Memento Mori - much to the distaste of some outspoken people *cough cough*)... We all had a good laugh on IRC a few times before we decided to make the clan, so we just thought that a good group of friends, having a giggle losing a few wars would be fun for all concerned. We worked out a name - Unreality had many charms - but what I really liked about it was that it carries a certain mystique and ultimate originality. We all brainstormed a few possible tags for the clan, and eventually we picked the one which I had suggested - 'but that's mostly because I'm a fricken legend' (my saying btw, don't steal it, else I'm telling the feds)... so it was said, and so it was done, Unreality hit the world...

AND HIT THE WORLD HARD! We landed on the iDOM scene and won our first 3 wars, which was pretty nice for a new clan... The basic lineup back then was the three clan leader / founder types: protocol, Subtractive & V^tor, and then a bunch of us that were around since the start - Psych0, Nesquik, Renegade, Nomadic (THAT'S ME!) & Shut-It. I think there were also a couple of guys that were on CB, but to my knowledge I never met them - instent and L-S. We were knocking on the doors of the top 10 in the iDOM ladder before long - our run up the table aided by our mad war arranger, psycho, who had us playing 3 wars a night sometimes - which was pretty cool when you were being a sad bastard and had nothing else to do, so cheers for that psy! Since then we have brought a number of other people into the fold - a few from ABUK - which I always kind of considered our sister clan, lol... The additional members all feel like family now though, and we can often be found over at #-<U>>- on quakenet, talking long into the night.

Over the months since our creation, we have progressed pretty well generally, getting a bit of a name for ourselves as good, honest, fair playing types. Unreality has spread her wings somewhat - now participating in several iCTF ladders and also doing pretty well in 2 on 2 iDM. After chomping up both of the leaders of the afore mentioned ABUK clan (namely Killa and MachoMan), we decided to eat the rest as well, and thus ABUK (as well as a few other people) became Unreality², a sort of sub, training clan kinda deal. They are having a good old pop at iCTF and iDOM, which is cute, I always think - just so long as they never end up beating the daddies of the whole operation, bwuhahaha! Just kiddin mates and matettes, I love you all really hehe.

That pretty much brings us to the present day, so what of the future, I hear you all ask. And yes, I know how many millions of people will be reading this and asking that very question - clan websites always do get a few trillion visitors! Erm... yeah... the future... Well, we are just gonna carry on trucking I guess, having a laugh, taking our spots in a few ladders - generally just above average... We all get on pretty well, and indeed there have already been a few meet ups across the UK - but we don't do the uber geeky 'bring your PC and we can play some UT together... in the same room... WWWWOOOOOOOOOWWWW'... we have a few drinks, go to a few pubs, clubs, brothels, and end up in a beautiful mass orgy generally... shame we haven't managed to convince any females to partake... meh...

Bottom line, we are a nice bunch of people, all very pretty... We have a good laugh, arrange a few mixed fun games and aid each other's fantasies when they need to crack one off, so come along to our channel, #-<U>- idle there, perform there, and become part of the none stop party which is my life... YAY... We have a very hot female member also, come and see if you can work out which one it is...
